Privacy Policy
Tally Release Finder is a free, static informational website. It has no user accounts, no login, and no database of visitors. This policy describes, in plain English, what happens to information when you use the site.
1. What information we collect
We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect personal information through normal browsing of this website. There is no login, no profile and no visitor database.
2. Contact form information
The contact form on this website does not send anything to us or to any third-party form service. When you submit it, your browser opens a pre-filled message in your own email application, and nothing leaves your device until you choose to send that email yourself. Submissions are not stored in your browser and are not transmitted to this website.
If you do send us an email, we receive whatever you include in it — typically your name, your email address and your message. We use that information only to understand and respond to your enquiry.
3. Server and log information
This website is served as static files by a hosting provider. Hosting providers typically record standard server access logs, which can include your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time of the request. These logs are generated and controlled by the hosting provider for security and reliability purposes. We do not maintain our own separate visitor log, and we do not use server logs to build profiles of individual visitors.
4. Cookies
This website does not set cookies. No consent banner is shown because there is nothing to consent to. If we ever introduce cookies, this policy will be updated before we do so.
5. Analytics
No analytics software is installed on this website. We do not use Google Analytics or any comparable measurement service, and no tracking script runs on these pages. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy to say what is collected.
6. Advertising
This website carries no advertising. There are no ad networks, no advertising cookies and no behavioural profiling on these pages.
7. How information is used
Information you send us by email is used only to respond to you and, where relevant, to correct or improve the release information published on this website. We do not sell personal information, we do not rent it, and we do not share it for marketing.
8. Third-party services
These pages do not load fonts, scripts, images or other resources from third-party servers. The only external connections are ones you start yourself by clicking a link, and your own email provider if you email us.
9. External download and release-notes links
Tally Release Finder does not host or mirror Tally software installers. When you click a download link, your browser connects directly to the destination server shown by the link. The same applies to release-notes links, which point to Tally’s documentation website.
Once you follow a link, you are on a website we do not operate. Those websites have their own privacy policies and their own data practices, and this policy does not apply to them. We have no visibility into what you download or what happens on those sites.
10. Data retention
Because we do not collect information through the website, there is nothing for us to retain from ordinary browsing. Emails you send us are kept in our mailbox for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and to keep a record of corrections made to the release information. Server access logs are retained according to the hosting provider’s own retention practices.
11. Data security
This website is served over HTTPS. We keep the information you send us within our email account and limit access to it. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
12. Your choices
You can browse this website without providing any personal information. If you have emailed us and would like us to delete that correspondence, write to [email protected] and we will remove it from our mailbox, unless we need to keep it to resolve an ongoing enquiry. Depending on where you live, local law may give you additional rights over your personal information; contact us and we will do our best to help.
13. Children’s privacy
This website is intended for people looking for business software releases and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website changes — for example, if we add analytics or a server-side contact form. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described rather than made silently.
15. Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected], or through our contact page.
